Before arriving in Bangalore (Bengaluru) you must make an advance hotel booking to avoid the peak season rush during the month of December. Listed below are a few hotels where you can book rooms. You can avail the given rates through the conference manager of FSTTCS 2015.

Participants who are not Indian nationals need a visa to enter the country. The Indian government now provides an e-Tourist visa (that is, visa on arrival) for citizens from over 110 countries. If you qualify to apply under this category, this is the most convenient option. More details are available at this link. In particular, please look at the "Instructions for Applicant" about constraints that apply to this visa in terms of duration, number of times you can use it in a year, etc. Also, please note that you have to apply and pay the visa fee online for an e-Tourist visa prior to your actual arrival in India.

In case you need an invitation letter for your visa application, please write to fsttcsconf15@gmail.com. The conference has obtained clearances from various ministries. You may use the following documents while applying for conference visa:

• Government of Karnataka

The conference will take place on the campus of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, known locally as "Tata Institute". During your local travel to the conference venue, you may want to use the latter. The sessions will take place at the following two venues:

• Materials Research Center (MRC) Auditorium
• Department of Computer Science and Automation (CSA)

The pre-conference and post-conference workshops will take place at CSA.

We have a very small pool of subsidised accommodation for Indian participants (people working/studying in India). Please write an email to fsttcsconf15@gmail.com before November 15, 2015 to apply for these. We have IISc Hostel accommodation for student participants (single: INR 200-300 per night) and IISc Main Guest House (single: INR 450 per night, double: INR 600/950 per night) and IISc Centenary Guest house (single: INR 900-1125 per night, double: INR 1500 per night) for non-student participants.
